"Wildflowers" Label

A guarantee of quality for bee pollen

Most of our fresh pollens are available with the Organic label and the Wildflowers label. Regardless of the label, if the pollens come from the same botanical source, they have the same nutritional characteristics. You’re probably familiar with the Organic label, but what about the Wildflowers label?

The Fleurs Sauvages (Wildflowers) label was created by the company Pollenergie to guarantee consumers a product that comes from a preserved, healthy natural environment, and to allow the company to demonstrate its commitment to the control and quality of its products. The Fleurs Sauvages label means:

1. The guarantee of pollens coming from a preserved nature

The floral origins offered are wild & uncultivated (Heather, Chestnut, Cistus). Pollen analyses are carried out on each received batch in order to certify:

  • pollen that is at least 75% derived from uncultivated plants
  • the absence of sunflower and corn pollens.

2. The guarantee of healthy pollens for consumers

Analyses are carried out to monitor microbiological quality (E. coli, Staph. aureus, Salmonella, lactic flora, yeasts, molds) to ensure the compliance of pollens for human consumption. We also analyze heavy metals (Lead, Cadmium, Mercury) to guarantee levels below the threshold values established under current regulations. Analyses to certify pollens without organochlorine and organophosphorus pesticide residues (<0.05 mg/kg) are systematically performed. 151 pesticides are tested. We analyze each batch to guarantee the absence of GMOs (screening for rapeseed and corn transgenes).

3. Demanding and Rigorous Specifications Monitored by an External Body

Compliance with the specifications is audited on-site twice a year by an independent certification body, CERTIPAQ.

4. A Commitment to the Preservation of Bees and Biodiversity

Pollenergie is committed to offering high-quality products that respect both consumers and bees—the "benefactors of our biodiversity"—by encouraging sustainable and ecological beekeeping practices.
